Working closely with VA, we will continue to offer support to qualified veterans through the Aid and Attendance Home Care Program.

Veterans living in the Kentucky counties of Madison and Fayette have benefitted from the unwavering compassionate homecare extended by our staff for many years.  Now we are excited to bring that same quality care to veterans of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Caring for a loved one
Caring for an ill and/or aging loved one can come with some challenges. How do you cope with stresses associated with this labor-of-love.

Helpful tips for caregivers:

  • Take care of your own health first!

As caregivers, we often become so involved in caring for others that we neglect our own needs. We must get adequate rest, nutrition, and exercise to help us stay strong. We need to feel our best so we can provide long-term care for another. Pacing oneself is very important.

  • Give yourself a break!

Take time for activities you enjoy: go to church, take a walk or go to lunch with a friend. Don't be afraid to ask others for help so that you can have some time for yourself. Utilize respite care for your loved one.

  • Seek support when you need it!

There are many groups that provide guidance and support for family caregivers. Their experience is invaluable to you.

  • Don't beat yourself up!

Some days may be more challenging than others. You will learn and grow in the experience, making you an even more seasoned caregiver!

  • Understand respite care!

Respite care is offered to caregivers to allow them to take a break away from patient care. You need to visit your own doctor, get a haircut, visit a friend, go to church, take a vacation, etc.

  • Who will take care of the patient while you take a much-deserved break?

We will! Our well-trained caregivers provide respite services to you, as well as in-home care services for your loved one? Let us know how we can best serve you and your family's specific needs.
